About TEDx Global Prestasi School Bandung (GPS)

TEDx Global Prestasi School Bandung is a student-centred TEDx event hosted by Global Prestasi School, Bandung. The event showcases student speakers, young leaders and local contributors who bring honest, grounded perspectives on education, identity, community and social responsibility.

Programmes focus on clear storytelling and useful insight rather than performance for its own sake. Sessions mix live talks with selected TED content so local ideas sit beside global thinking in a way that feels practical and relevant. Events are open to the wider Bandung community to encourage exchange between students, families, educators and local partners.

Running TEDx on campus builds real skills: public speaking, event planning and teamwork. The aim is to turn thoughtful conversations into actions that matter locally, and to give students a safe space to test ideas that could grow beyond the school.

In this years TEDx event, our theme will be “Growing Beyond The Expected”. Here, we will explore our new found potential, and throw ourselves out of our comfort zone. Our committee, which mainly consists of Grade X students organizing this event will gain new experiences, and maybe bring light to ideas that hasn’t been thought of before.
